Seattle Sea Dragons at DC Defenders 4/30/23 - XFL Picks & Predictions

The Seattle Sea Dragons will go on the road this week to take on the DC Defenders in the North Division Championship of the XFL. Seattle comes into this week as one of the best teams in the league with seven wins overall following a 19 point blow blowout win over Vegas a week ago. Defensively Seattle controlled the game allowing just nine points on 237 total yards of offense including nothing in the first half against Vegas. Offensively Seattle dominated compiling 466 total yards and scored 28 points following a 22 point second half.
Ben DiNucci led the way for Seattle completing 26 passes for 339 yards and three scores and ran the ball four times for 41 yards and one touchdown as well. Charlie Taumoepeau led all ball carriers for Seattle with 44 yards on 4 carries, while Josh Gordon posted a team high 115 yards on 9 receptions. Juwan Green and Jahcour Pearson for seven catches and 130 total yards as each player added one receiving touchdown as well.
The DC Defenders come into championship week as the best team in the league at 9-1 overall following a narrow one point victory against San Antonio a week ago. Defensively DC did just enough allowing only 358 yards in 28 points after holding San Antonio to just 11 first half points. Offensively DC was the better team with 392 total yards to score 29 points including ten in the second half to secure the victory.
Jordan Ta’Amu led the show for the DC offense completing 15 passes for 271 yards and two scores ran the ball eight times for 45 yards and one touchdown as well. Abram Smith was second on the team with 44 yards on 10 carries and Lucky Jackson posted a team high 84 yards on three receptions. Alex Ellis added 4 catches for 25 yards and two scores for DC as well.
These have been 2 of the top teams in the league all year as they will now square off to go to the XFL Title game. This will be the third matchup of the year between these teams as DC won the first 2. The Defenders are the best overall team in the league and will continue that trend this week as they punch their ticket to the title game.
