San Antonio Brahmas at Vegas Vipers 4/1/23 - XFL Picks & Predictions

In Saturday week seven XFL action, the San Antonio Brahmas will travel to Cashman Field to tackle the Vegas Vipers. The Brahmas (2-4) are one game out of second place in the XFL South Division and must improve on a league worst passing attack (4.3 YPA). On Sunday, San Antonio leaned on their defense to earn a 15-9 road victory against Arlington.

Delontae Scott sacked San Antonio QB Drew Plitt and caused a fumble that was returned by Jordan Williams 44 yards for a touchdown. Jacquez Patrick led the Brahmas offensive attack with 100 yards from scrimmage on 18 touches.

The Vegas Vipers have led at halftime in four of their first six games, but have been one of the biggest disappointments in the league for head coach Rod Woodson. The Vipers (1-5) rank first in the league in passing at 7.0 yards per attempt and have thrown for 11 touchdowns. On Saturday, Vegas was torched by St. Louis QB A.J. McCarron for 236 passing yards and three touchdowns during a 29-6 home loss.

Vegas QB Luis Perez (2 INT) failed to lead his team to a scoring drive and turned things over to Brett Hundley. The Vipers finally got on the scoreboard on a 17-yard strike from Hundley to Jordan Lovett. Vegas was outgained 328-230 and surrendered four sacks.

San Antonio QB Reid Sinnett has been lost for the season with a broken right foot. With Jawon Pass and Kurt Benkert sharing duties last week, the Brahmas managed just 59 passing yards on 20 attempts. Take the Vipers to pull off the upset at home. Final Score Prediction, Vegas Vipers win 21-17.
