Saint Louis managed to be the only road team to win in the XFL in the first week of the year. The Battlehawks actually looked very good in the game against Dallas, but their defense did not have to face the first string quarterback from the Renegades. Still, the 15-9 win was nothing to really be ashamed of.
The rushing attack for the Battlehawks did decent carrying the ball21 times for 85 yards in the game, but did not score in the game. When it came to the passing offense the Battlehawks had Ta’amu go 20/27 for 209 yards and a touchdown in the game.
Houston proved that they are not to be taken lightly this season. The Roughnecks were able to completely trash the Los Angeles Wildcats in the opening week by a score of 37-17. What was really interesting is how well prepared Houston looked heading into the game on the week.
The rushing offense was led by Butler who carried the ball 9times for a total of 30 yards and a touchdown. The passing offense was led by Walker who threw the ball for272 yards and a total of 4 touchdowns, but Walker was picked off in the game.
Free XFL Pick:
The defense for Houston was able to shut down an offense that had been projected to play good on the year. With that type of shut down defense the Roughnecks looked really good and should be able to continue to play at a high level heading into the game here as the Battlehawks were consistent against Dallas, but were not able to really take control in the game. The Roughnecks, though, played great on the year and should be able to play great in the game here. Final Score Prediction, Houston Roughnecks win and cover ATS 31-10.
