Mystics vs Storm Picks and Prediction – 6/11/2023

The Washington Mystics continue a West Coast road trip on Sunday with their second consecutive game in Seattle against the Seattle Storm. Washington comes into Sunday one game above .500 after winning three of the last four including their game against Seattle on Friday. Defensively Washington was tremendous against Seattle allowing just 66 points on 41% shooting and forced 17 turnovers. The Washington Mystics have averaged just 76 points per game on 39.1% shooting through the first seven games but allow just 74.4% shooting resulting in their 4 wins.

Elena Delle Donne has returned to form this season leading Washington averaging 18.6 points per game through the first seven games played. Shakira Austin mans the middle for Washington scoring a second best 13.9 points and leads the team averaging 9.3 rebounds as well. Ariel Atkins averages 10.3 points as the only other Mystic averaging double digits. Natasha Cloud leads Washington with 6.1 assists per game to go along with 9.7 points.

The Seattle Storm stay at home Sunday as one of the worst teams in the league with just one win through the first six games played after the loss to Washington on Friday. Offensively Seattle has been a bottom feeder in the league averaging just 75 points on less than 39% shooting, while allowing nearly 86 points per game. Ezi Magebegor had her best game of the year on Friday against Washington pouring in a team high 24 points on 16 shots.

Jewell Loyd is the biggest offensive threat for Seattle this season averaging 28 points per game to go along with a team leading 3.4 assists but has only played in five of the seven games this season. Ezi Magbegor is the second player for Seattle averaging double digits with 14.2 points and leads the team averaging 9.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.
