Washington Mystics at Atlanta Dream 5/20/22 - WNBA Picks & Predictions

The Washington Mystics look for their second consecutive victory when visiting the Atlanta Dream on Friday. Washington improved to 4-1 following its 84-68 victory over the Dallas Wings on Tuesday. Washington split a home-and-home against the Wings after losing the opener 94-86. In Tuesday's victory, rookie Skakira Austin scored 20 points in just her fifth WNBA game for the Mystics. Washington is tied for first place with Atlanta in the Eastern Conference.

Elena Delle Donne is leading Washington in scoring and rebounding with averages of 18.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, while Myisha Hines-Allen is the leader in assists with an average of 3.6 assists per game. Washington has four players averaging double-figures in scoring and as a team the Mystics are scoring an average of 84.2 points per game.

Atlanta looks for its third consecutive victory when hosting Washington on Friday. Atlantis beat Indiana in two straight games, winning the first 85-79 on Sunday followed by a 101-79 rout of the Fever in the second on Tuesday. In Tuesday's victory, rookie Rhyne Howard continued her strong start to the season with 19 points, while Cheyenne Parker scored 17 points.

Rhyne Howard is leading Atlanta in scoring with an average of 20.4 points per game, while Cheyenne Parker is the second leading scorer with an average of 11.2 points per game. Monique Billings is the leading rebounder with an average of 8.0 rebounds per game and Erica Wheeler is the leader in assists with an average of 3.4 assists per game. Atlanta has two players averaging double-figures in scoring and as a team in scoring an average of 80.4 points per game. 

Atlanta is off to a strong start at 4-1 straight up and against the spread, but will play against a veteran Washington squad that is also 4-1 SU and ATS. The Mystics have Elene Delle Donne back this season and Myisha Hines-Allen is the court general while leading the Mystics in assists.
