Storm at Wings 9/8/19 - WNBA Picks & Predictions

The Seattle Storm look to bounce back from a loss when they visit the Dallas Wings on Sunday for the final game of the WNBA regular season for both. The Storm were beaten on Thursday night by the Los Angeles Sparks 102-68. The Storm trail Minnesota by one game in the standings and could move up with a win on Sunday and a Minnesota loss as Seattle holds the tiebreaker with the Lynx.

Dallas lost its third straight on Friday after falling to the Washington Mystics 86-73. The Wings were paced by the strong play of rookie Arike Ogunbowale who scored 30 points. The rookie reach 30 points scoring for the fifth time this season which moved her ahead of Odyssey Sims for second on the all-time list for rookies. The Wings have lost seven of the last eight.

Natasha Howard leads the Storm in scoring and rebounding with averages of 17.9 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, while Jewell Loyd is second in scoring with an average of 12.1 per game. Jordin Canada is leading the Storm in assists with an average of 5.3 per game. Just three players are averaging double-figures in scoring for Seattle.

Arike Ogunbowale is the leading scorer for Dallas with an average of 18.9 points per game. Isabelle Harrison is the leading rebounder with an average of 5.8 per game, while the leader in assists is Ogunbowale with an average of 3.0 per game. Two other players besides Ogunbowale are averaging double figures in scoring for Dallas.

Seattle can host a first round playoff game with a win and a Minnesota loss on Sunday. The Storm holds the tiebreaker against the Lynx but first must beat Dallas and hope Los Angeles beats the Lynx. Seattle has covered the number in each of the last 5 head-to-head with Dallas, while the Wings have failed to cover 5 of the last 7 versus Western Conference opponents. Final Score Prediction, Seattle Storm wins and covers ATS 75-66.
