Seattle Storm vs Las Vegas Aces 10/4/20 - WNBA Picks & Predictions

Last Updated: 10/03/2020 at 9:25 AM ET

The Seattle Storm look to take a 2-0 lead in the WNBA finals on Sunday when playing Game 2 against the Las Vegas Aces. Seattle defeated Las Vegas in Game 1 on Friday 93-80. Seattle has won four straight and 11 of its last 12. The leading scorer for Seattle in the victory on Friday was Breanna Stewart with 37 points including the first 11 points scored during the fourth quarter. Jewell Loyd chipped in with 28 points, while Sue Bird handed out 16 assists, to set a new WNBA playoff record.

Breanna Stewart is leading Seattle in scoring and rebounding with averages of 26.5 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Sue Bird is the leader in assists with an average of 9.5 per game. Jewell Loyd is the second-leading scorer with an average of 20.0 points per game and the only player besides Stewart averaging double-figures in scoring for the Storm.

Las Vegas cannot afford to lose two straight to Seattle and fall behind 2-0 in the series. The leading scorer in the loss for Las Vegas was Angel McCoughtry with 20 points. A'ja Wilson, who was recently named the MVP of the WNBA, chipped in with 19 points. Las Vegas is accustomed to playing from behind as the Aces lost the first game to Connecticut in the semifinals before going the distance and winning in five games.

A'ja Wilson is leading Las Vegas in scoring and rebounding with averages of 21.3 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. Jackie Young is the leader in assists with an average of 3.2 per game. Angel McCoughtry is the second-leading scorer, third leading rebounder and second in assists with averages of 16.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.0 assist per game. Danielle Robinson is the third leading scorer with an average of 10.2 points per game.

Las Vegas opened its semifinals series against Connecticut with a loss and bounced back with a victory in Game 2 and that trend will continue on Sunday in Game 2 of the Finals. A’ja Wilson and Angel McCoughtry will carry the load for Las Vegas on the offensive end of the court and help keep Brianna Smith contained with tough defense in the paint. The Aces have won 20 of the last 25 straight up. Final Score Prediction, Las Vegas Aces win and cover ATS  86-81.
