On Sunday, the Seattle Storm visit the Las Vegas Aces for Game 1 of their WNBA semifinals best-of-five series. Seattle swept the Washington Mystics in their best-of-three quarterfinal series, winning 86-83 in the opener and 97-84 in Game 2. With the two consecutive victories in the offseason, Seattle has won four of the last five.

Breanna Stewart is the leading scorer in the postseason for Seattle with an average of 22.0 points per game and is also the leader in rebounds with an average of 11.0 rebounds per game. Jewell Loyd, who is scoring an average of 17.5 points per game and Sue Bird, who is averaging 14.0 points per game gives Seattle a very strong backcourt duo. 

Las Vegas swept its quarterfinal series with Phoenix. The Aces opened the series with a 79-63 victory and followed that with an impressive display of scoring by defeating the Mercury 117-80 in Game 2. With its two postseason victories, Las Vegas has won six straight and 11 of the last 13. The Aces finished the regular season with the best overall record in the WNBA at 26-10 and have continued that strong play into the postseason.

Chelsea Gray is the leading scorer during the postseason for Las Vegas with an average of 22.0 points per game and is also the leader in assists with an average of 6.0 assists per game. Kiah Stokes is the leading rebounder with an average of 8.0 rebounds per game. During the regular season A’ja Wilson was the second leading scorer and leading rebounder for Las Vegas but against the Phoenix averaged only 12.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.
