The Phoenix Mercury will open the 2022 WNBA Playoffs on the road Wednesday night in Las Vegas for game one of their series against the Aces. Phoenix slipped into the postseason six games under .500 after finishing the year with a 15 point loss to the Chicago Sky. Offensively Phoenix was terrible in their last game of the season scoring only 67 points on 45.8% shooting in 23.1% from the floor, while turning the ball over 21 times in the game.

Jennie Sims led the way for the Phoenix offense posting a team high 12 points in 35 minutes on the floor. The Las Vegas Aces come into the 2022 WNBA playoffs as the number one overall seed after finishing the regular season on a four-game win streak. Las Vegas was lights out offensively in their final game of the season making 55.7% of their shots and 40.7% from beyond the arc to score 109 total points in the game including 59 in the second-half.

Chelsea Gray led the way for Las Vegas pouring in 33 points and 9 assists on 10 of 15 shooting in 36 minutes on the floor. A’Ja Wilson added 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Kelsey Plum made four 3 pointers to score 23 total points in the game.

The Las Vegas Aces have been the best team in the WNBA all season and will look to start the playoffs on the right foot.
