Minnesota Lynx at New York Liberty 6/5/22 - WNBA Picks & Predictions

The Minnesota Lynx will continue a road trip Sunday afternoon as they travel to Brooklyn for a match up with the New York liberty. Minnesota comes into Sunday struggling immensely this season with only two wins through 10 games played after losing four of the last five games played including two in a row after a loss to Atlanta. Offensively Minnesota shot the ball well making 45% of their shots and 33.3% from beyond the arc but turned the ball over 26 times leading to the loss.

Kayla McBride led the way for the Minnesota offense with twenty points on seven of 17 shooting in 34 minutes on the floor. Silvia Fowles added in 16 points and 20 rebounds, while Nikolina Milic added 14 points off the bench.

The New York liberty will continue a homestand Sunday afternoon following a 13 point win over Indiana that ended a long losing streak. The New York offense shined against Indiana making 45.2% of their shots to score 87 points in the game including 47 in the second half.

Sabrina Ionescu scored a game high 23 points on eleven shots as one of four New York players in double figures. Rebecca Allen chipped in 17 points, while Stefanie Dolson and Natasha Howard added 16 points as well for the New York starters.

This is a matchup between two struggling teams, but New York will have the edge at home Sunday. Look for New York to lean on the home crowd to push themselves to a needed victory. Take New York to do enough to extend their win streak to two games against a bad Minnesota team. Final Score Prediction, New York wins 81-74.
