Defensively Phoenix had issues giving up 81 points on 40% shooting, but the Mercury won the rebounding battle and forced 11 turnovers to get the win. Offensively Phoenix was lights out with 90 points on 49% shooting and 46.4% from beyond the arc.

Diana Taurasi led the way for the Phoenix offense with 23 points and 10 assists on twelve shots in 32 minutes of action. Brittney Griner added 19 points and eight rebounds in 31 minutes, while Moriah Jefferson and Sophie Cunningham chipped in 13 points each. Sug Sutton led the way off the Phoenix bench with 14 points in 33 minutes of action.
