The struggling Indiana Fever have lost their last seven games coming into this nationally televised matchup with the Las Vegas Aces. Falling 96-77 to the Connecticut Sun, the Fever dropped to 5-14 on the year and are well out of the playoff picture with just three games left. Las Vegas has won twelve of their last fourteen games and are coming off an 89-79 win over the Atlanta Dream, improving to 14-4 on the season.

Las Vegas is averaging 88.1 points per game to lead the WNBA in the scoring offense despite shooting just 33.7% from beyond the arc. The Aces are led by center A’ja Wilson who is leading the team in points with 20.3 per game and rebounds with 8.4 per game. Wilson ranks second in the WNBA in scoring and in the top 10 of rebounding.

The Indiana Fever are averaging 81 points per game ranking 8th in scoring offense while shooting 43.9% from the field. Indiana is led by the sister duo of Kelsey and Tiffany Mitchell combining for 30.8 points per game and 5.3 assists per game; the Mitchell’s are one and two in scoring for the Fever. Operating in the paint is Teaira McCowan who leads the team with 7.3 rebounds per game while adding 10.9 points per game.

The Fever rank last in the WNBA in scoring defense coming in allowing 89.7 points per game and allowing opposing teams to shoot 47.3% from the field, also the worst clip in the WNBA this season. Las Vegas comes in allowing 79.7 points per game ranking 4th in scoring defense while opposing teams are shooting just 43.1% from the field which ranks them second in field goal percentage defense.

The Indiana Fever’s season in the bubble for all intents and purposes is over and was a disappointing showing, winning just 5 games so far. The Aces are looking to improve their seeding for the playoffs and looking to make a run back to the WNBA Eastern Conference finals where they lost last season to the eventual champion Washington Mystics. Having won twelve of their last fourteen games and boasting the leagues best scoring offense, the Aces roll through a depleted Indiana team on their way to a win and cover. Final score prediction, Las Vegas Aces win and cover ATS 93-78.
