Las Vegas Aces at Phoenix Mercury 5/6/22 - WNBA Picks & Predictions

The WNBA season gets underway Friday night as the Las Vegas Aces will be in Phoenix, AZ to take on the Phoenix Mercury. Phoenix struggled in their only preseason game this year losing 89-86 to the Minnesota Lynx after shooting only 46.4% from the floor but turned the ball over 19 times in the loss.

Kelsey Plum led all scorers for Las Vegas with 16 points on five of nine shooting in only 24 minutes on the floor. Dearica Hamby chipped in 13 points in 25 minutes as the second leading scorer for the starters and Aisha Sheppard led the way off the bench with 14 points and two rebounds.

The Phoenix Mercury come into the regular season after losing their only preseason game by four points to the Seattle storm. Phoenix shot only 36.1% from the floor and turned the ball over 12 times leading to the four point loss against Seattle.

Phoenix sat several key players allowing Tina Charles to lead the way in scoring with 16 points and six rebounds in 21 minutes on the floor. Shey Peddy chipped in 12 points for the starters and Kiana Williams scored twelve points in only 22 minutes off the bench.
