Wings vs Dream Picks and Prediction – 5/24/2025

The Wings are in a rebuilding phase, having selected Paige Bueckers as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. Bueckers has made an immediate impact, averaging 13.7 points and 6.7 assists per game, including a double-double in her last outing. Veteran guard Arike Ogunbowale continues to lead the team offensively, with 15 points per game. Despite their efforts, Dallas has struggled defensively, allowing an average of 87.7 points per game. 

The Dream are looking to bounce back after a home loss to the Indiana Fever. Rhyne Howard led the team with 24 points in that game. Atlanta's offense averages 85.7 points per game, but their defense has been a concern, allowing 88.3 points per game. Atlanta is a puzzling team at this point, because they lost to a weaker Washington team, but played a strong Indiana team tough in two games, securing a road win in one. Atlanta's strength in the post is their best shot at a win against Dallas.

Both teams are seeking consistency early in the season. The Wings' young core, led by Bueckers, shows promise but faces challenges on the defensive end. The Dream have the experience and the post presence to make things difficult at both ends for Dallas. Ultimately, we like the Dream to win at home 84-77.
