Last Updated: 09/28/2020 at 8:44 AM ET

On Tuesday, the Connecticut Sun plays the Las Vegas Aces in the deciding Game 5 of their WNBA semifinals best of five series. Connecticut failed in its first opportunity to eliminate Las Vegas on Sunday following an 84-75 loss. The leading scorer for Connecticut in the loss was Jasmine Thomas with 25 points. Connecticut committed 13 turnovers to just 7 for Las Vegas, which was one of the biggest differences in the 9-point loss for the Sun.

Alyssa Thomas is the leading scorer and tied for the lead in assists for Connecticut with averages of 18.0 points and 4.4 assists per game. The second leading scorer and leading rebounder is DeWanna Bonner with averages of 16.6 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. Jasmine Thomas is tied with Alyssa Thomas for the lead in assists with an average of 4.4 per game. Connecticut has just three players averaging double-figures in scoring.

Las Vegas was able to stave off elimination with its victory on Sunday. A’ja Wilson scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to post another double-double for Las Vegas. The big quarter in the game was the third quarter as Las Vegas outscored Connecticut 28-16 with Angel McCoughtry hitting seven baskets in the quarter for Las Vegas and handing out three assists. McCoughtry scored as many points during the quarter with 16 as did the Sun.

A'ja Wilson is leading Las Vegas in scoring and rebounding with averages of 22.7 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. Wilson is shooting 55.1% from the floor and 77.8% from the free-throw line. Jackie Young is the leader in assists for Las Vegas with an average of 4.7 per game and is the second leading scorer with an average of 11.0 points per game. Angel McCoughtry has an average of 10.3 points per game and is the only other player besides Wilson and Young averaging double-figures in scoring for Las Vegas.

Although the UNDER is a solid choice in this matchup, the play here is Las Vegas. The Aces have covered just five of their last 13 overall but have covered two of the last three head-to-head versus Connecticut. A’ja Wilson and Angel McCoughtry have given Sun defenders a nightmare during this series and the two will continue to do so on Tuesday, as Las Vegas will win, cover and move on to the WNBA finals to face the Seattle Storm. Final Score Prediction, Las Vegas Aces win and cover ATS 82-73.
