Sun vs Dream Picks and Prediction – 6/11/2023

The Connecticut Sun head back out on the road Sunday down South to College Park, GA for a matchup with the Atlanta Dream. Connecticut is the second best team in all of the WNBA with seven wins through the first nine games played following their 17 point blowout of Las Vegas. DeWanna Bonner went ballistic against Las Vegas posting a league high 41 points on 23 shots in 32 minutes of action. Connecticut is one of the best offensive teams in all the league averaging 81.2 points per game on 42.4% shooting on nearly 21 assists per game.

DeWanna Bonner has carried the Connecticut offense this season averaging 17.6 points per game through nine games played. Brionna Thomas is second on the team averaging 14.6 points per game and Tiffany Hayes chips in 11.9 points per game as well. Alyssa Thomas does it all for Connecticut averaging 13.8 points and leads the team averaging 11.1 rebounds and 7.2 assists.

The Atlanta Dream stay at home Sunday two games below .500 on the year on a two game skid after a 23 point blowout loss against New York on Friday. Defensively Atlanta was terrible giving up 106 points on 45.3% shooting as New York knocked down 14 long balls as well. Offensively Atlanta has averaged 83.5 points per game on 41.5% shooting, but their defense has been abysmal allowing nearly 86 points per game through six games.

Allisha Gray and Rhyne Howard have carried the Atlanta offense this season each averaging 16.8 points per game. Cheyenne Parker is second on the team averaging 16.3 points to go along with a team leading 7.5 rebounds as well. Aari McDonald has only played in five games but averages 6 points and a team leading 3.8 assists.
