Chicago Sky at Atlanta Dream 5/30/23 - WNBA Picks & Predictions

The Chicago Sky go back on the road Tuesday to Atlanta for a match up with the Atlanta Dream. Chicago comes into Tuesday with three wins through their first four games played this season following a two point loss to Washington last game out. Offensively Chicago shot the ball well making 44.3% of their shots but made just 28.6% of their long balls and 69.2% of their free throws resulting in the loss. Defensively Chicago was the better team allowing just 71 points on 36.4% shooting, but the Sky lost the rebounding battle and turned the ball over 23 times in the game.

Marina Mabrey led the way for the Chicago offense with 19 points on fifteen shots in 26 minutes of action. Kahleah Copper chipped in 12 points in 28 minutes, while Courtney Williams added thirteen points on twelve shots in 31 minutes of action. The other two Chicago starters combined to score 11 points, while Chicago got 14 points from the bench as well.

The Atlanta Dream returnhome Tuesday with one win through the first few games played following their first victory of the season against Minnesota. Defensively Atlanta did just enough allowing only 77 points including just ten in the fourth quarter on 44.8% shooting from the floor. Offensively Atlanta was the better team making 42% of their shots and that 90% from the free throw line leading to 83 points including 24 in the fourth quarter to complete the comeback.

Allisha Gray carried the load for the Atlanta offense with 26 points and 10 rebounds on 17 shots and 35 minutes of action. Cheyenne Parker scored 12 points as the only other starter in double figures comma while the rest of the Atlanta starters scored 17 total points. Naz Hillmon led the way of the Atlanta bench with 13 points on nine shots in 19 minutes.

Both teams have started the year heading in opposite directions and that trend will continue on Tuesday. Look for Chicago to continue their tear against a lackluster Atlanta team. Take the Sky to keep it rolling as they pick up another win on the road Tuesday night. Final Score Prediction, Chicago Sky win and cover 77-68.
