The Phoneix Mercury and the Atlanta Dream meet up in a battle of 2-2 teams at the WNBA bubble at the IMG Academy.

The Mercury comes in having won two straight games, the most recent a decisive 96-67 win over the New York Liberty. Guard Bria Hartley was huge in that contest going for 27 points on 10/18 shooting while adding 5 rebounds and 4 assists off the bench. The Dream fell 93-77 to Indiana Fever dropping them back to .500 on the season. The Dream was led by four players scoring in double figures led by Courtney Williams who had 18 points.

The Dream comes in averaging 84 points per game ranking 6th in the WNBA while shooting 44.4% from the field. Leading the Dream in scoring is Betnijah Laney who is averaging 17.5 points per game while adding 4.8 rebounds and is second on the team in assists with 3.8 per game. Leading rebounder Monique Billings is averaging a double-double with 10.8 rebounds and 11.8 points per game.

The Mercury has four players averaging double figures which allows them to boast the best scoring offense in the WNBA averaging 93.5 points per game while shooting a leagues best 50% from the field. Dominant center Brittaney Griner has been huge this season boasting a team-high in rebounding with 7 per game while averaging the second-most points on the team with 16.3. Veteran guard Skylar Diggins has also been solid this season averaging 14.5 points per game while also adding in 4.5 assists per game.

The Dream comes in with statistically the worst defense in the WNBA allowing 91.5 points per game; opponents are shooting 46.9% from the field and 39.5% from beyond the arc. The Mercury are allowing 91.8 points per game while opponents are shooting 44.1% from the field.

Both teams come in with abysmal defense the only two teams in the WNBA allowing more than 90 points per game. The Mercury and their diverse and balanced scoring attack will be too much to handle for a defense that has allowed opponents to shoot 46.9% from the field. This game will be high scoring so I give the advantage to the team that has 4+ solid scorers. Final score prediction, Phoenix Mercury win and cover the spread 98-86.
