Atlanta Dream at New York Liberty 6/30/22 - WNBA Picks & Predictions

The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY will welcome the Atlanta Dream Thursday night for a matchup with the New York Liberty. Atlanta comes into Thursday night three games below .500 on the year after losing four of the last five games played including three in a row after an 18 point blowout loss to Washington last game out. Defensively Atlanta was obliterated as Washington shot 55.2% from the floor and 60% from beyond the arc to score 92 points in the game including 52 in the first half.

The Atlanta offense struggled making only 42.5% of their shots and 25% from beyond the arc, while turning the ball over 14 times leading to the loss. Kristy Wallace led the way for the Atlanta starters with nine points on two of three from the floor in 24 minutes of action.  Ad Durr added in 13 points and Naz Hillmon scored 11 points to lead the way off the bench.

The New York Liberty go back home Thursday night two games below .500 after winning three of the last four games played including two in a row following a 12 point win over this Atlanta team. Defensively New York was lights out holding Atlanta to 36.6% shooting from the floor, while the Dream scored only 77 points in the game.

The New York offense played exceptionally well on the road making 47.1% of their shots and 45.7% from beyond the arc to score 89 points in the ball game. Sabrina Ionescu led the way for New York with 21 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists in 34 minutes on the floor. Natasha Howard added 19 points and 10 rebounds for New York as well.
