The New Orleans Breakers will meet up with the Michigan Maulers Saturday May 28th in a week seven matchup. New Orleans comes into week seven 4-2 on the year following a 10 point win over the Pittsburgh Maulers a week ago. Defensively New Orleans dominated the game holding Pittsburgh to only 272 yards and 16 points, while forcing two turnovers.
Kyle Sloter orchestrated the New Orleans offensive attack completing 13 to 21 passes for 92 yards in the game. Anthony Jones led the way for New Orleans on the ground compiling 102 yards and one score on 22 carries.
The Michigan Panthers come into week seven as one of the worst teams in the USFL sitting at 1-5 overall following a 16 point loss to Birmingham in week six. Defensively Michigan was obliterated by Birmingham allowing 332 total yards of offense including 175 yards on the ground two as Birmingham scored 33 points in the game.
Offensively Michigan played well enough with 289 yards in the game but turned the ball over two times to score only 17 points.Shea Patterson was the only real bright spot for the Michigan offense completing 24 of 35 passes for 209 yards and one touchdown, while running the ball three times for five yards and one touchdown as well.
