In week eight USFL action, the New Orleans Breakers will battle the Birmingham Stallions from Protective Stadium. The Breakers (5-2) rank third in the league in scoring offense with 167 points and third in scoring defense as well. On Saturday, New Orleans defeated Michigan 31-27 despite turning the ball over twice and only possessing the ball for just over 21 minutes.
New Orleans kicker Taylor Bertolet nailed a 26-yard field goal with one second remaining to force overtime. QB Kyle Sloter completed 15-for-24 passes for 182 yards and two touchdowns for the Breakers.
The Birmingham Stallions are the lone undefeated team in the league and have amassed the most points (188) for head coach Skip Holtz. On Sunday, Birmingham outscored lowly Pittsburgh by 14 points during the second half of a 26-16 victory. The Stallions (7-0) ran for 200 yards on 38 carries and limited the Maulers to 199 yards of total offense.

Birmingham holds a two-game lead over New Orleans in the South Division and won the week three matchup by a 22-13 final score. The Breakers led that game by three entering the fourth quarter, but three turnovers on the afternoon proved too costly to overcome. Take New Orleans to win the rematch.
