Michigan Panthers - 2022 USFL Season Preview

The USFL is back with a second edition and this ain't the league you knew in the 80's. The new United Staes Football league is set to kick off on April 16th, 2022. The USFL is composed of 8 teams who will play 10 games each. The USFL is based in Birmingham Alabama and games are played in Protective Stadium and Legion Field.
The Michigan Panthers based in Detriot Michigan under General Manager and head Coach Jeff Fisher enter the inaugural season of the USFL hoping to be the 1st champion. Jeff Fisher played as a corner back and return specialist in his playing days. Fisher coached in the NFL for 20 years where he spent most of that time as head coach of the Oilers/Titans franchise(1994-2010). Fisher made it to the Superbowl but never captured the title Fishers last year in the NFL was 2016 woth the St Louis Rams.
Calling the offense for the Panthers is Ofensive Coordinator Eric Marty(Michigan Panthers), with Neil Callaway(Michgan Panthers, UAB) as the Offensive line coach and Running backs coach Mark Stewart(Michigan Panthers).
Making the Defensive calls will be Defensive Coordinator Daniel Carter, Defensive line Coach Kwahn Drake, Assitant Defensive Line Coach Tony Brown and Defensivebacks & Special Teams Coach Jeff Imamura.
Quarterback for the Michigan Panthers is Paxton Lynch. Lynch was drafted in the 1st round of the 2016 NFL draft to the Denver Broncos where he made only 4 starts before being released. Lynch spent a short time in Seattle with the Seahawks and in Pittsburgh with the Steelers. Lynch completed 79 of 128 passes for 792 yards touchdowns and 4 interceptions.
The offensive attack for the Panthers will consist of running backs Reggie Corbin, Cameron Scarlett and Stevie Scott III. And receivers Quincy Adeneyojo(Ole Miss), Jeff Bedet(Minnesota Vikings), Lance Lenior Western Illinois, Ray Bolden, and Devin Ross.
The Defense will be lead By linebackers Frank Ginda and Taiwan Jones. Defensive linemen DTJaQuan Bailey, DT Walter Palmore, and DE Cavon Walker. And Defensive backs CN Tino Ellis and CB Jameson Houston.
