German superstar Alexander Zverev is set to play at the 2020 US Open in New York. Zverev will start his tournament against Kevin Anderson from South Africa.
Alexander Zverev has not had the strongest few months and he was poor in his most recent tournament which was the Cincinnati Masters. Zverev was eliminated during the opening round of the Cincinnati Masters as he lost in 3 sets against Andy Murray. Alexander Zverev had a strong start to 2020 as he made the semifinals at the Australian Open where he defeated the likes Stan Wawrinka and Fernando Verdasco. That being said, Zverev has not had much match time in recent time and it will be tough for the German to shake off the rust.
Similarly, Kevin Anderson has also had little match practise in recent times as the South African was also eliminated in the early stages of the Cincinnati Masters. Kevin Anderson was defeated by Stefanos Tsitsipas during the second round of the tournament. It has been a tough few seasons for Kevin Anderson as he has fallen down the rankings due to a few bad injuries. Anderson seems to be back to full fitness but this is expected to be a tough match for the South African as he is playing against the number 5 seed.

Zverev is an elite player and I see him being good enough to win this match in 4 sets.
