Australian tennis superstar, Ashleigh Barty is set to play at the 2021 WTA US Open where she will be the number 1 seed. Barty will start her tournament against Vera Zvonareva from Russia.
Vera Zvonareva enters this match having last played at the Cleveland Championship. At the tournament, Vera Zvonareva made it into the second round before being forced to retire. At the age of 36, it is clear that Vera Zvonareva is past her peak in performance but the Russian has managed to have some big performances in recent times and she will be hoping that she can reproduce something similar at this tournament.
