The wide receiver position has become one of the most talked about spots in the entire game. Wide receivers can alter games with one play. Several top tier wide receivers will be taken early in the draft, but one name has separated himself as the top player at that position. Multiple wide receivers will come into the NFL this year and be explosive offensive weapons in the very near future.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba

Despite missing the majority of last season with a leg issue Jaxon Smith-Njigba is still the top wide receiver coming into the 2023 draft. In 2021 Smith-Njigba put up gaudy numbers of nearly 100 catches and well over 1500 yards. Jaxon has the size and speed to translate to the NFL but his playmaking skills and ability to find open spots on the field make him the top target in the 2023 draft.

Jordan Addison

Jordan Addison was dominant this season for USC as perhaps the top receiver in the PAC 12. Addison won the Biletnikoff award in 2021 in Pittsburgh before his departure out West. Addison caught well over 100 passes and accumulated nearly 2500 yards and 25 touchdowns over the past two seasons. Addison has all the makings of an NFL star and will be snatched up early in the first round of the draft.

Quentin Johnston

Johnston is different from the top receivers as his physical stature stands out above the rest. Johnson is 6’4 and weighs well over 200 pounds which will make him a top target immediately in the NFL. Johnston has unmatched athleticism and the ability to catch balls in tough spots making him a top target. Johnston doesn't quite have enough to be the number one receiver in 2023 but will be a high priority for many teams.

Zay Flowers

Zay flowers is one of the best route runners college football has seen over the last few years. Flowers has the ability to separate and stay away from defenders making it easy for quarterbacks to find him. Flowers will shine in an NFL system with his speed and athleticism in his rookie year making him an immediate top target for whatever team he goes to.

Josh Downs

Josh downs is different from the guys ahead of him with his ability to play in the slot as well as out wide. Downs is a shorter receiver below 6 foot which will make him an interesting weapon in the NFL. After nearly 200 catches and well over 2000 yards over the past two seasons downs will make an immediate impact in the NFL with his speed and playmaking ability.
