Showboats vs Panthers Picks and Prediction – 5/18/2024

The week eight UFL schedule will kickoff on Saturday afternoon, when the Memphis Showboats travel to Ford Field to take on the Michigan Panthers. Keep up with all the USFL action with our free USFL predictions. The Showboats (1-6) are in the midst of a six-game losing streak and their minus 88 points differential is the worst in the league. Last week, Memphis was gashed for 415 yards of total offense and committed four turnovers during an ugly 47-23 road loss against Arlington.

Memphis QBs Troy Williams and Case Cookus combined for 230 passing yards on 25 of 38 attempts. Daewood Davis hauled in seven receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown. Vinny Papale added 55 receiving yards and a score for the Showboats. 

The Michigan Panthers have reeled off three straight victories and have clinched a playoff spot. The Panthers (5-2) ranks second in the UFL with 836 rushing yards and are averaging 22.7 points per contest. On Sunday, Michigan rushed for 187 yards on 31 attempts and did not commit a turnover during an impressive 22-9 road triumph against DC.

Michigan RB Matthew Colburn II highlighted the opening drive with a 53-yard run that ended with a Brian Lewerke seven-yard touchdown scamper. Bryce Perkins completed 11 of 13 passes for a team-hgh 116 yards. Jake Bates added three field goals for the Panthers.
