Wolverhampton Wanderers at Tottenham Hotspur 8/20/22 - Premier League Picks & Predictions

Tottenham Hotspur is a heavy favorite to get the victory in its Week 3 Premiere League matchup at home against Wolverhampton on Saturday.

The Spurs are 1-1-0 after a hotly contested 2-2 draw at Chelsea, while the Wolves stand at 0-1-1 following a scoreless draw at home against Fulham.   

Tottenham needed a late header into the net by Harry Kane to escape Chelsea with a point. Kane's goal came off an Ivan Perisic corner in the sixth minute of stoppage time. Chelsea led 1-0 at the half, but Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg tied it in the 68th minute for the Spurs before Chelsea’s Reece James made it 2-1 nine minutes later.

Wolverhampton has not played well to start the year and is winless in its last nine EPL contests. The game decider in a 2-1 season-opening loss to Leeds United came off an own goal. Another miscue late in Week 2’s game easily could have resulted in a second loss, but Jose Sa got the save on a penalty kick.

Tottenham holds an 8-3-5 advantage all time over Wolverhampton, but the teams split the last two contests. The Wolves secured a 2-0 win at Tottenham in February after losing 1-0 at home in Week 3.
