Augsburg (7-12-6) were in terrible shape prior to the enforced break, as they were on a five-match win-less streak and have won just once in their last nine matches (1-7-1). Moreover, they failed to score in three of their last five. Augsburg are sitting at the 14th spot of the league table with 27 points, five ahead of the relegation zone. They have been quite solid at home so far (5-4-3), where they lost just two of their last seven matches (4-2-1).
