Two teams that are coming off losses last week will now lock horns on Saturday, when Southampton will play host to West Ham. Southampton were in quite good shape prior to that loss, while the Hammers have been struggling a lot lately.

West Ham (4-8-4) suffered a really frustrating 3-1 loss at home against Arsenal in the London Derby on Monday. They took the lead but conceded three goals in a nine-minute span to eventually meet another loss. They have now lost five of their last six and have won just once in their last 10 (1-8-1). West Ham are sitting dangerously close to the red line, at the 16th spot with 16 points, just one ahead of Southampton who are below the line. And they have been mediocre on the road (2-3-3).

Southampton (4-9-3) saw their three-match undefeated streak come to an end in a very upsetting manner last week, where they conceded two late goals against Newcastle to eventually lose by 1-2. They have kept just two clean sheets all season and that’s the reason they are sitting at the 17th spot with 15 points, and inside the red zone. Southampton haven’t been able to use the home advantage so far (2-5-1), having yet to keep a single clean sheet there.
