Tottenham have been going through a really rough patch lately, as they met two devastating losses in their last two matches. They will now hope to climb out of their slump when they will host Watford on Saturday. Watford have probably been the worst team in the Premier League so far but might threaten the hosts here.
Watford (0-5-3) are coming into this match after a goal-less draw at home against Sheffield United, in a match where neither team deserved the win. They have yet to win a single match in the Premier League, while their only two wins so far have come in the Carabao Cup. Watford are stuck at the bottom of the league table with three points, featuring the worst offense with just four goals, combined with the 2nd worst defense with 20 conceded.
Tottenham (3-3-2) met a huge loss on the road in their last match, by 0-3 against Brighton. Goalkeeper Lloris conceded a weird goal and injured himself badly in the process, and his absence will severely weaken Tottenham’s defense. Tottenham were coming off a destructive 7-2 loss at home against Bayern Munich in their previous match. They are sitting 9th in the Premier League with 11 points, scoring 14 and conceding 12 goals so far. However, they have been really good at home (3-1-0), losing only to Newcastle.
