Dundalk have been the dominant force in the Irish Premier Division in recent years, and this season they have also done a great job. They are now getting ready for a really interesting match on Monday, when they will play host to the 3rd Waterford. Waterford have been in really bad shape lately, having failed to win any of their last four.

Dundalk (12-2-4) were really good in their last match, where they defeated Bohemians by 2-0 on the road. They took an early lead at the 4th minute, and sealed the win with another goal at the 83rd minute. That was their fourth consecutive win in all competitions, but have kept just two clean sheets in that span. They are still sitting at the top of the league table with 40 points, featuring both the best offense with 38 goals, and the best defense with just 8 conceded. They have been undefeated at home so far (7-0-2), where they have only conceded four goals so far. Waterford (10-5-3) suffered a really unexpected and quite massive loss last week against a much weaker side. They were already down by three goals by the 21st minute of their home match against Limerick, and were eventually destroyed by 6-3. Waterford have not been in very good shape lately (0-2-2), having also been eliminated from the League Cup in that span. Even so, they are still sitting at the 3rd spot of the league table with 33 points, three ahead of Saint Patrick's, and five behind Cork City.
