They took an early lead but quickly found themselves chasing the score before scoring a late goal to pull even. They have been pretty solid lately, losing just once in their last five (2-1-2). Villarreal are sitting at the 17th spot of the league table with 16 points, just as many as Athletic Bilbao and Rayo Vallecano who are below the red line. Villarreal have been mediocre on the road so far (2-3-3) and are win-less in their last nine matches in all competitions (0-3-6).
