Two teams in the middle of the Bundesliga league table will battle it out on Sunday, when Augsburg will host Stuttgart. Augsburg have not been very good at home and they are hosting a team that has done a great job on the road. Let’s dive right into it.

Augsburg (5-5-4) are coming off a pretty balanced match on the road against FC Koln. They scored the only goal of the match at the second half and escaped with all three points. They have been mediocre at best lately, winning just two of their last nine matches (2-4-3). Augsburg are sitting at the 10th spot of the Bundesliga with 19 points, scoring 16 and conceding 19 goals so far. They have not been anything special at home so far (2-3-2), but one of those two wins was a nice 0-2 against Dortmund.

Stuttgart (4-4-6) were pretty bad in their home match against Leipzig last week. They only had a single shot on target, while their opponents missed a penalty kick on their way to a 1-0 road win. That slim loss was Stuttgart’s second in their last six matches though (3-2-1). They are sitting at the 11th spot of the Bundesliga with 18 points, scoring 26 and conceding 21 goals so far. Oddly enough, they have been excellent on the road (4-1-2), losing only to Wolfsburg and destroying Dortmund by 5-1.
