Two teams that have made pretty solid starts in the 2018 Pepsideild will lock horns on Tuesday, when Grindavik will play host to Valur. Grindavik actually lost in the premiere but have been undefeated ever since, while Valur are still undefeated but have won just once.
Grindavik (2-1-1) are coming off a pretty decent performance on the road against Vikingur Reykjavik on Friday. They took the lead right before the first half was over, and successfully held that lead till the end. Despite their loss in the premiere, Grindavik have grabbed seven points from their next three matches. Moreover, all four matches so far have featured Under 2.5 Goals. Grindavik are now sitting at the 3rd spot of the Pepsideild with 7 points, just three points behind league leaders Breidablik.
Valur (1-0-3) played host to a struggling Stjarnan side on Friday, and had to equalize twice in order to secure a point in a 2-2 draw. In their previous match they had taken a two-goal lead at home against Fylkir, but they saw their opponents pull even with two late goals for another 2-2 draw. Even though Valur have yet to be defeated after four matches, they have only won once, and have kept just a single clean sheet. They are now sitting at the 5th spot of the league table with 6 points.
