Valencia at Sevilla 7/19/2020 - La Liga Picks & Predictions

Valencia recorded an anxious win mid-week and they remained alive in the chase of a Europa League ticket for next season. They will now take their final fight in Sevilla, where they will be hosted by the local team on Sunday. Sevilla booked a ticket to the Champions League and the only thing left to fight is the 3rd spot.

Sevilla (18-6-13) are coming off a pretty dull match on the road against Real Sociedad, where neither team was very good up front and they eventually split the points in a goal-less draw. They have been tremendous in the second half of the season, and are now undefeated in their last 16 matches in all competitions (7-0-9). Sevilla are sitting 4th with 67 points, just two behind Atletico Madrid. They have been really hard to beat at home so far (9-2-7), going undefeated in their last 12 there (6-0-6).

Valencia (14-12-11) were not very good in their home match against Espanyol, but were quite lucky. They took an early lead in that match but were really in danger of conceding. Their opponents were much better but Valencia held on to the result. However, that was just their second win in their last seven matches (2-4-1). They are now sitting at the 8th spot with 53 points, as many as Granada below them. Both teams are one point behind Getafe and two points behind Real Sociedad. Valencia have been quite bad on the road so far (3-11-4), going win-less in their last 11 matches (0-8-3).
