Arsenal did a great job in the previous round of the Europa League when they beat Napoli fairly easily. They will now clash against Valencia in the semi-finals of the competition, and they will play host to the Spanish side on Thursday for the first leg. Valencia prevailed in the Spanish battle and will now try for the best.

Arsenal were up against a fairly hard side in the quarter-finals of the competition, as they had to face off against Italian side Napoli. However, the Gunners did a great job to win both matches with clean sheets. But they have not been in very good form lately, having lost each of their last three matches in all competitions. Arsenal reach the semi-finals of the Europa League for the second consecutive season. Valencia destroyed fellow Spanish side Villarreal in the quarter-finals, starting from the first leg where they won by 3-1 on the road. They doubled up with a nice 0-2 at home and Valencia are now undefeated in their last six Europa League matches (5-0-1). Moreover, three of those wins came with clean sheets. But Valencia have also been struggling a bit lately, winning just one of their last three league matches (1-2-0).
