England have kept their good form from the World Cup where they finished 4th and have also been pretty good in the UEFA Nations League. They will now get to host USA in a friendly match on Thursdsay, which is set to be played at the Wembley Stadium. USA have undergone a complete facelift and have been really competitive in all their matches so far.

England did not make a very good start in the UEFA Nations League, as they lost by 2-1 at home against Spain. It was a balanced match but Spain eventually overcame England. After that, England were hosted by Croatia exactly three months after their match in the semi-finals of the World Cup. It was a really balanced match where the two teams split the points in a goal-less draw. But in their last match they were excellent on the road against Spain, where they took a three-goal lead in the first half before conceding twice in the second half for the final 3-2. England are now sitting 2nd in their group with 4 points, Spain have 6 and Croatia have 1. USA suffered a humiliating elimination from the World Cup, as they messed up big time in the Qualifiers. Bruce Arena resigned with coach Dave Sarachan taking his place and doing a pretty good job so far. USA have played 10 friendly matches of ranging difficulty since then but have won just three in the process (3-3-4). They have some huge talents in McKennie, Weah, Pulisic, Yedlin, Wood and so many more, and have about four years to improve before the next World Cup. Coach Sarachan has created a really young and talented squad but is still mixing and matching his line-ups in an attempt to get a good glimpse on the roster.
