Tunisia have been really strong in their warm-up friendlies and are coming off a really strong performance against Portugal. Just a few days later they will be clashing against Turkey in yet another friendly in the city of Geneva, Switzerland. Turkey might not be getting ready for the World Cup, but they have quite a feisty team.
Tunisia are coming off a really hard-fought draw on the road against Portugal in a friendly match that took place on Monday. Portugal were actually playing without Cristiano Ronaldo who participated in the Champions League final just a couple of days prior. Even so, they took an early two-goal lead before Tunisia cut their lead down to one goal at the end of the first half. Tunisia eventually pulled even at the 64th minute and forced a 2-2 draw despite being the worse team.
Turkey were engaged in a really competitive match at home against Iran on Monday night when the two teams met in a friendly match. They were slightly better at the first half and found themselves up by two goals thanks to a couple of goals by Everton’s forward Cenk Tosun. Their opponents really pressured them in the second half, but all they could do was score a consolation goal at the stoppage time for the final 1-2. Turkey are not in the World Cup and are testing their strengths for the upcoming UEFA Nations League in October.
