Manchester United are in dire need to return to winning ways after a series of unsuccessful results. They will not have an easy task though, as they will host Tottenham on Wednesday. Tottenham have been great under the new coach and are flying from one win to the next.

Tottenham (5-4-5) had a pretty comfortable job against Bournemouth over the weekend, where they took an early three goal lead. They did concede twice to win by just 2-3 but it was an easy job. They have now won three in a row under coach Mourinho, but conceded twice in all three. Tottenham are temporarily sitting at the 6th spot of the league table with 20 points, six points behind the top-four. However, they have not been very good on the road so far (1-3-3), keeping no clean sheets so far.

Manchester United (4-4-6) played a really competitive match at home against Aston Villa over the weekend, where they came back from one goal to take the lead but eventually split the points in a 2-2 draw. They are now without a win in their last three matches in all competitions. United are sitting at the 10th spot of the league table with 18 points, three points behind the top-five spots. They have been quite solid at home so far (3-1-3), where they are undefeated in their last eight matches in all competitions (4-0-4).
