Everton met a really bad loss against Manchester City last week and have not had much luck lately. They will now have a really tough time returning to winning ways, as they will play host to Tottenham on Sunday. Tottenham have been in stunning form lately and are coming off a great win over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup.

Everton (6-5-6) are coming off a two-faced match on the road against Manchester City, where they were destroyed in the first half but were much more solid in the second. Their opponents took the lead at the 22nd minute and doubled that at the 50th before Everton scored a goal at the 65th to try to make a comeback. But Manchester City scored again four minutes later to win by 1-3, which means that Everton are now win-less in their last four (0-2-2). They are now sitting at the 11th spot of the league table with 24 points, just as many as West Ham. They have also been great at home (5-1-3) so far in the league, where they are undefeated in their last seven in all competitions (4-0-3). Tottenham (13-4-0) did a massive job in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup when they beat Arsenal by 2-0 on the road and moved to the semi-finals of the competition. Last week in the Premier League they had a seemingly easy job at home against Burnley but won by a slim and anxious 0-1. They are now undefeated in their last five (4-0-1) and kept three clean sheets in that span. Tottenham are now sitting at the 3rd spot of the league table with 39 points, two ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal and five behind Manchester City. The Spurs have the 2nd best away record in the league (8-2-0) where they also have two wins, two draws and a loss in other competitions.
