Tottenham were really lucky in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Dortmund. They managed to record a massive three-goal win at home and will now be hosted by the German team on Tuesday for the second leg. Dortmund are looking for a massive turn of the tide in their favor.

Dortmund are coming off a really bad 0-3 loss on the road against Tottenham, but the truth is that they absolutely didn’t deserve to lose by that much. They were actually much better in the first half but Tottenham evened the match out in the second and scored two late goals. Dortmund have won just one of their last seven knock-out matches in UEFA competitions (1-4-2) and have fared well in two-legged ties against English sides (W3 L2). Tottenham were not very good in the first match but ended up taking a huge advantage ahead of the home match on Tuesday. They were only winning by 0-1 at the start of the second half but scored twice in the final 10 minutes for the final 0-3. Tottenham have not been bad in German soil over the years (4-6-2), losing in just one of their last five trips there (2-1-2). But they have traditionally struggled on the road in European matches, winning just four of their last 18 (4-7-7).
