Tottenham at Chelsea 1/24/19 - Carabao Cup Picks & Predictions

The other semi-final of the Carabao Cup is a London Derby between Tottenham and Chelsea. Tottenham won by a slim deficit in the first leg at home but Chelsea will now look to overturn that when they will play host on Thursday. Tottenham have been excellent on the road but are really decimated by injuries at this point.

Chelsea were actually pretty good in the first leg on the road but were unable to threaten their opponents. They were much better throughout the whole match but conceded a penalty kick that turned out to be the only goal of the match. Chelsea are also coming off a tough loss against Arsenal over the weekend and have now won just two of the last five (2-2-1). However, they have been great at home this season, winning six of their last eight matches in all competitions and conceding just two goals in that span. Tottenham probably didn’t deserve to win in the first leg but this is soccer, and they will now try to defend their slim advantage. In their last match they did great to beat Fulham by 2-1 on the road and they have now won four of their last five. Tottenham have been excellent as visitors in numerous venues lately, winning each of their last five and scoring at least twice in each match. But they will be missing Kane, Son, Lucas and now Dele Alli who suffered an injury as well.
