Tottenham got quite a slap in the face on Saturday when they lost at home against Wolves and saw their strong winning streak come to an end. They will now have a theoretically easy job on Tuesday when they will be hosted by newcomers Cardiff. Cardiff are coming off a strong away win and have been quite competitive at home all season.

Cardiff (5-12-3) will surely be feeling grateful about the outcome of their away match against Leicester over the weekend. Leicester had a chance to take the lead but missed from the penalty spot only for Cardiff to score the winning goal at the stoppage time to win by 1-0. Cardiff have now grabbed four points in their last two matches and will be looking to pinch Tottenham for some points as well. Cardiff are now sitting at the 16th spot of the league table with 18 points, three ahead of the red line. They have been quite competitive at home (4-5-1) and have won three of their last four. Tottenham (15-5-0) are coming off a really tough home loss against Wolves, in a match that they were actually winning till the 72nd minute. After an early goal by Kane, Tottenham struggled to score a second and didn’t feel all that well. Wolves pulled even at the 72nd minute and went on to record a triumph with two more goals in a four minute span. Tottenham crashed and burned after two massive wins and after a seven-match undefeated streak in all competitions (6-1-1). They are now sitting 3rd in the league table with 45 points, just two ahead of Chelsea, two behind Manchester City and nine behind Liverpool.
