Tottenham are coming into this match after a horrible loss mid-week in the Champions League, probably their biggest in quite a while. They will now have to shift their focus to domestic competitions, as they will be hosted by Brighton on Saturday.
Brighton (1-3-3) were not very good in their away match against Chelsea last week, conceding two second-half goals to go down by 0-2. They are now win-less in their last five matches (0-3-2), losing each of their last two and scoring just twice in that span. Brighton are sitting at the 16th spot of the league table with 6 points, just one ahead of the relegation zone. They have yet to win at home in all competitions (0-2-2), with three of those matches featuring goals from both sides.
Tottenham (3-2-2) met a horrific 7-2 loss at home against Bayern Munich in the Champions League mid-week. They have struggled mightily lately and have won just once in their last five matches in all competitions (1-2-2). The Spurs are now 6th in the Premier League with 11 points, one behind Arsenal and West Ham. Moreover, Tottenham have not won a single match on the road after five matches in all competitions (0-1-4).
