Toronto FC at Colorado Rapids 9/25/21 - MLS Picks & Predictions

The Colorado Rapids are having a really good season so far, sitting at the top spots of the Western Conference. They will now play host to a terrible Toronto side, who are stuck at the depths of the Eastern Conference and having a lot of injury problems. This looks like a one-sided match.

Colorado (12-4-8) are coming off a 1-1 draw at home against Vancouver, in a match where they feel they should have earner more. That was their 3rd consecutive goal-draw (and 4th in their last 5), as Colorado extended their unbeaten streak to 10 matches (5-0-5). They are sitting at the 3rd spot of the Western Conference with 44 points, 1 point behind Seattle and 2 points behind Conference leaders Kansas City. Colorado have been really hard to beat at home so far (6-1-5), scoring 20 and conceding 11 goals. They only lost their first home match of the season (against Austin) and have been unbeaten at home ever since.

Toronto FC (4-15-6) finally put an end to their losing streak with a 2-1 home win over Nashville last week. However, that was their first win after 6 consecutive losses and a 9-match win-less streak (0-7-2). Toronto just want this season to end fast, as they have been stuck at the bottom of the Eastern Conference for so long. They have just 18 points after 25 matches, they have scored just 28 goals (4th worst offense in the East) and they have conceded 51 in the process, which is by far the worst defense in the league.

These two teams are having completely opposite seasons, with Colorado challenging the top spots of the Western Conference and Toronto being stuck at the bottom of the East. Colorado have been great as hosts against Toronto over the years (6-1-1) and they should have what it takes to take the three points here.
