Turkey have not fared well in the UEFA Nations League so far, and will now play their final match in this stage on Saturday when they will host Sweden. Sweden looked really good in the World Cup as they reached the quarter-finals, but they have been pretty bad ever since. This is a crucial match for the future of this group.

Turkey (1-2-0) have been really struggling to put together a competitive squad in recent years. This time around they haven’t made the best of runs in the UEFA Nations League so far, having won just one of their three matches. They started off with a really frustrating 2-1 loss at home against Russia in what was a really balanced match between the two sides. But they looked really competitive in their next match where they beat Sweden by 3-2 on the road despite going down by two goals at the start of the second half. Turkey played a really solid match against Russia on the road in their last match but sadly fell by 0-2. They are 2nd in their group with 3 points, and a loss here would pin them to the final spot resulting in relegation. Sweden (0-1-1) did an excellent job in the World Cup this summer when they reached the quarter-finals. It was a great effort by the Swedish team who eventually bowed out to England. But Sweden have not been very good ever since, as they have had a really tough time getting results in the UEFA Nations League. They were not very bad in the opener against Turkey at home, where they took a two-goal lead. But they failed to hold on to that lead, as they conceded two late goals and eventually lost by 3-2. In their next match they were unable to create a lot of shots on target on the road against Russia, but neither did their opponents, so the two teams split the points in a goal-less draw.

Sweden have one point after two matches, Turkey have 3 after three matches and Russia have 7 after three matches. Even a draw could be enough for Turkey to avoid the last spot, but a win would definitely do the trick. They have a great history in this match-up (4-1-4) and should have the upper hand here (3-1-1). But I will take the Over 2.25 Goals here, as Sweden will come here looking for a goal.
