Paris Saint Germain suffered a bad loss against Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday, despite the fact that they scored the first goal. They will now return home for a league match, where they will play host to Strasbourg on Saturday. The newcomers have been a nice surprise this season, but this might be too much of a task.

Paris Saint Germain (21-2-2) are coming off a somewhat disappointing result on the road against Real Madrid. They actually took the lead at the 33rd minute, which was great ahead of the second leg at home, but they ended up losing by 1-3. That somewhat diminished their chances, and blew their advantage. Anyway, that was their first loss after six consecutive wins in all competitions. They are still sitting at the top of the Ligue 1 with 65 points, still twelve points ahead of Monaco. They have been perfect at home so far in the league, where they have won all twelve matches, and four more for other competitions. Strasbourg (8-11-6) were engaged in a really balanced match against Troyes last week in the Ligue 1, where they had already scored two goals before conceding at the stoppage time for the 1-2 win. That was their second consecutive win, as prior to that they had defeated Grenoble by 3-0 in the French Cup. They have now won four of their last six matches in all competitions. Strasbourg are now sitting at the 13th spot of the Ligue 1 with 30 points, just five points ahead of the relegation zone. They haven't been very good on the road so far in the league (2-7-3), where they have scored just 10 goals, against 24 conceded. They have won just two of their last seven matches in all competitions (2-4-1), keeping clean sheets in just their two wins in that span.
