Sporting KC at Vancouver Whitecaps 7/13/19 - MLS Picks & Predictions

Vancouver have been in somewhat of a slump lately, having some trouble in getting wins over the past couple of months. They have not been very bad either, and will now play host to Sporting KC on Saturday. Sporting KC have been in worse shape lately but are coming off a slim win.

Vancouver Whitecaps (4-8-8) are coming off a goal-less draw in the first leg of the Canadian Championship quarter-finals against Cavalry. Prior to that they met a tough 1-6 loss on the road against LAFC. They are now without a win in their last six matches in all competitions (0-2-4) and have won just once over the past two months (1-3-6). Vancouver are 11th at the Western Conference with 20 points, just one ahead of the bottom spot. Their home record is nothing to brag about (3-3-4). Sporting KC (5-7-7) took an early lead in their home match against Chicago and won easily by that slim 0-1. But that was just their second win in their last eight matches in all competitions (2-4-2). They are not having the best of seasons so far and are sitting at the 10th spot of the Conference with 22 points, just two ahead of Vancouver. Sporting KC have been rather weak on the road so far (1-4-4) only failing to score twice in ten matches in all competitions.
