FC Dallas ave struggled to get results lately and will now need some luck in the last match-day of the regular season. They will play host to an indifferent Sporting KC side who have already been eliminated from the playoff chase. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that they will not fight for something here.
Sporting KC (10-15-8) are coming into this match after a 2-2 draw at home against Portland. It was a very physical match, where Sporting KC conceded a late goal for the final 2-2. That draw came after four consecutive losses, where they conceded 14 goals in total. Sporting KC are sitting 10th in the Western Conference with 38 points and the worst defense in the Conference with 61 conceded goals. Their away record is nothing special (3-9-4), losing five of their last six.
FC Dallas (12-12-9) were not very bad in their last match but lost badly by 0-3 on the road against Colorado. The extent of the loss could easily have been greater, as FC Dallas are now on a four-match win-less streak (0-2-2). They are sitting at the 7th spot of the Western Conference with 45 points, one behind Portland, one ahead of San Jose and three ahead of Colorado. Failing to win here could potentially drop them outside of the playoff spots. But they have been really strong at home (9-1-6).
