Spanish La Liga – Matchday 38 – Best Bets, Odds, Picks & Predictions

Following a dramatic season, we have now reached the final round of the 2019/20 La Liga campaign. Real Madrid clinched the title on Thursday, while Mallorca were relegated. However, there is still one relegation spot up for grabs. The race for a Europa League place is also far from over. 

Let’s take a look at the best value bets for the final round of the 2019/20 La Liga season. 

Alaves vs. Barcelona – 07/19/20 

How many times have we seen Barcelona humiliate their opponents with high-scoring victories? Setien’s men may have missed out on the title, but you’d be foolish to bet against them thrashing Alaves on the final day of the season. It’s hardly surprising that Barcelona are the division’s highest scoring side by some distance this season. It’s also worth pointing out that only three teams have a poorer defensive record than Alaves. With that in mind, odds of 2.88 for Barcelona to score over 2.5 goals seem very generous.

Atletico Madrid vs. Real Sociedad – 07/19/20 

Given the contrasting form of these two sides, I think the price for the home win (1.90) in this matchup is very good on its own. However, I recommend boosting the odds by adding the under 3.5 goals market onto the Atletico victory. Diego Simeone’s side are unbeaten in their last 15 league games, and seven of their previous eight outings have produced under 3.5 goals. I can’t see Sociedad troubling Atletico on Sunday, but I don’t think it will be a high-scoring victory, either.

Espanyol vs. Celta Vigo – 07/19/20 

This is a must-win for Celta Vigo. It wouldn’t be right for the Sky Blues to rely on Real Madrid to beat Leganes, so Celta must take all three points from this game to secure their place in La Liga for next season. 1.80 is by no means a great price, but I can’t see Celta losing this game. Espanyol have been woeful all season long, so anything other than an away win in this fixture would be a big surprise.
